Miv's eclectic and bohemian style has been developed through years of working on sets and costume designs for film and television. Her eye for period detail and hand-crafted objects is infused with a sense of space and place; from the haunting Norfolk skies and beaches to the mystery of exotic Indian palaces and French Chateaux. Her colours vary from strong to neutrals and her textures are many and layered. Her interiors are largely influenced by a life spent travelling and working with indigenous people in warm climes. For this reason one should expect and be open to the unusual and unique
We are willing to take on any project that excites us; from the tiniest of country cottages to the grandest of town houses. We like to work with you on a personal basis, while keeping a transparent agenda and sharing all decisions. We love our clients to have a strong input and a sense of the overall vision peppered with a bit of drama, a sense of humour, and a touch of the exotic.
Miv prefers to work with natural materials in an uncontrived manner bringing together objects that might not necessarily be considered to live together from a fashion point of view. Her interiors seem to come from an understanding of how a home evolves over time with the natural developments in a lifetime. She mixes the traditional with the modern, the shabby with the smart, and builds an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. Every area of a room should give pleasure and intrigue to the observer and to spend time in a room such as this feeds the soul and creates a real sense of belonging and home.
